We count on volunteers to fundraise in each locality and later assist in the grant making process. Occasionally, we need volunteers to assist with office tasks such as coordinating appeals and event invitations. We also work closely with our grantee organizations to help coordinate direct service volunteer opportunities. Gifts of Appreciated Securities
A Gift of appreciated securities is an excellent way to support HFC. You can deduct the full fair market value of your stocks (if owned more than one year) and you will avoid capital gains taxes.
Please follow these steps to transfer stock shares to HFC:
1. Let us know of your intent by contacting Sarah Blaker at (212) 991-9600 x342 or at SBlaker@HedgeFundsCare.org.
2. Contact your broker to make the transfer of appreciated securities using the following information:

You may wish to include Hedge Funds Care in your will through a charitable bequest. A bequest can be easily included in your Will when it is written or revised or added through a Codicil, an amendment to your existing Will. All charitable bequests are fully deductible from your gross estate and are not subject to estate taxation.
Following is sample bequest language to include in your will:
I give, bequeath, and devise all [or dollar amount or percentage] of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to Hedge Funds Care, Inc., New York, NY.
